The research of the MENS Project for the assessment of the specific contribution of Sports, Exercise & Physical Activity in the prevention and the treatment of Mental Illness as well as the rehabilitation of Users of Mental Health services has started. The research is being carried out by the 17 organizations from 12 EU Member States – which are the partnership which implement the Project – acting in Mental Health and/or Sports & Physical Exercise fields. A fundamental outcome will be the collection of data on the current situation throughout organizations and individuals across these 12 European countries, using specifically composed questionnaires.
Any interested parties or individuals can visit the following links and contribute to the research’s finding until Thursday November 30th:
Each partner will carry the research out in its own country. The data will be collected automatically and with ensured anonymity.
The active participation will contribute significantly towards the conformation of an EU wide awareness campaign and the creation of policies that could greatly benefit both Mental Health and Sports/exercise sectors throughout Europe.
